Nurse Scheduler, Full-time


The Nurse Scheduler position is responsible for creating and overseeing the nursing schedule. 

  • Maintains nursing staff schedule consistent with staffing model
  • Contacts staff to fill open spots as needed in a positive and fair manner
  • Inputs and maintains schedule into Paycom
  • Assists with PBJ report / review for accuracy
  • Manages PTO requests based on guidelines provided by supervisor
  • Creates an atmosphere of team-building while providing guidance as needed to nursing staff related to scheduling guidelines
  • Works closely with nursing supervisors, Administrator, and DON to ensure appropriate staffing is planned for census and acuity


  • Must have full knowledge of computers and the ability to prepare reports
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have strong time-management skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people
  • Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision
