Grounds Technician, Full-time

Salary: $13.00 – $15.60 per hour

The ideal candidate for this position would not only have a love for the outdoors, but also be able to work in hot or cold weather conditions, maintain a high quality of workmanship, and have a strong ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with maintenance of flower beds
  • Help prune shrubs and trim trees
  • Assist with snow and ice removal
  • Operate lawn equipment
  • May assist the maintenance department with projects
  • Participate in “on call” rotation
  • Respond to requests to work irregular hours and overtime for snow removal and other emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Current Kansas driver’s license
  • · Previous grounds experience preferred
  • · Knowledge of landscaping, mowing equipment, fertilizers, chemicals is helpful
  • · Must be at least 18 years of age
  • · Ability to collaborate with a team is required

Physical Demands:

  • Lift up to 30 pounds without assistance
  • · Able to lift, load, and move large objects with or without accommodation
  • · Must be able to tolerate all weather conditions
  • · Must be able to walk long distances, bend, kneel, and climb a ladder
