Wesley Towers hosted an open house to celebrate the completion of the greenhouse campaign. Donors, residents and the public were invited to attend.
"We will be utilizing the greenhouse to offer 'hand on' garden therapy treatment for our residents," says Mark Mains, CEO. "It will be a retreat for them to get some fresh air and get their hands in the dirt."
Don Pfannensteil, with the grounds team, has created a garden club for independent living residents where they can participate in programs and also volunteer their time with projects around the campus. "I'm very thankful that the staff at Wesley Towers came together to get me to the open house. I had a nice conversation with Don where he explained the mechanics of the new greenhouse, which I appreciated," says Ed Doherty, resident and donor to the greenhouse project.
