First Giving Tuesday celebrated at Wesley Towers

Entering its sixty year, and first at Wesley Towers, Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by social media and collaboration.

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, Giving Tuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.

All proceeds received benefit the Wesley Towers foundation, which includes the Endowment and Good Samaritan Fund. A strong Good Samaritan Fund is one of the most critical needs at Wesley Towers for three primary reasons. First, there are an increasing number of residents requesting assistance as inflation and low interest rates erode assets that we intended to last for decades. Secondly, the need for this type of assistance is expected to increase at an even more rapid rate. Finally, only through adequate funding can Wesley Towers assist all residents who need help without drawing from the fund's general principal.

The generosity of those with vision has made Wesley Towers what it is today - a comprehensive community that is guided by Christian values and offers service, care and compassion to those in their retirement years. For those who would like to made a tax-deductible donation, your gift will make a difference by providing security to those who need help and reassurance. We will gladly accept donations that are mailed to the Wesley Towers Foundation at 700 Monterey Place in Hutchinson, Kansas 67502.
