Aide Assistant

Department: Nursing
Shift: Part-time or Full-time
The Aide Attendant works under supervision of a licensed nurse, CMA, or CNA.
  • Must be a minimum of 16 years old
  • Capable of understanding and following instructions
  • Must be able to relate to and work with the ill/elderly
  • Must enjoy working with people of all ages
  • Must be flexible as schedules may change often
  • Must be able to multi-task and work with interruptions
  • Must be able to lift 30#'s unassisted
  • Walking long distances will be required

Do you want a job that will give you an introduction into the nursing field? This position is non-credentialed and cannot provide personal care to residents, but can provide exceptional customer service, be a team player, and be dedicated to a cause in our healthcare area.  This position will also help with infection prevention throughout designated areas during the COVID-19 pandemic, while simultaneously being introduced in the nursing field.  The ideal candidate for this position would have a positive attitude and love for the elderly.  
Some of the job duties for the Aide Assistant include, but are not limited to:
  • Answer call lights and provide care within the guidelines of the job
  • Assist with room neatness by making beds, changing linens, and trash removal
  • Distributes snacks and provides fresh water
  • Helps in getting residents to activities
  • Sanitize areas to prevent infection
  • Communicates with residents daily
